Understanding Structures in Literature

Part 1: Intro and Unit Cells
Part 2: Space Groups
Part 3: Fractional Coordinates

This series of three short lectures is intended to help scientists understand what a crystal represents and the three pieces of information needed to describe a crystal structure: (1) unit cell, (2) space group symmetry, and (3) fractional coordinates of the atoms.  The information is related back to the Crystal Data Table that is often published with crystal structures.
