Battery Optimization Through XRM and XRD Analysis

Batteries play a pivotal role in today's transition to a cleaner and more efficient future. Analytics play an important role in the optimization of the nano- and macroscopic structure of storage cells in both design and manufacture. X-ray Diffraction, XRD, is a technique sensitive to the atomic structure of cathode and anode materials giving insights into both the virgin and cycled material. On the micron length scale, X-ray Microscopy, XRM, provides a non-destructive three dimensional view of the internal structure of the battery. Bruker is working with partners across the battery industry to create analytical solutions for current and next generation battery solutions.
